Harry Stanley

Structural Engineer Testing Testing

Harry is a structural engineer with 3 years’ experience within the offshore wind and oil and gas industries. He is highly skilled in offshore structural design and analysis, particularly within wind turbine generator (WTG) jacket and monopile foundation projects, where he has been responsible for primary and secondary steel design across FEED and detailed design phases. His wide-ranging experience also includes the design of subsea storage tanks.

Harry's main areas of strength lie in defining the boundaries between global and local analysis of structural components, design optimisation through the use of parametric models, and a passion for challenging engineering design projects.

He is adept at using Sesam and Ansys for the design of primary and secondary structural components, coupled with extensive knowledge of 3D CAD systems including Solidworks, Catia, NX and Inventor. One of Harry's specific expertise is in using 3D CAD skills to undertake detailed tolerance assessments, in order to present installation scenarios and convey risk profiles to clients and fabricators.

Harry is an Associate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and is working towards chartership.
