Navraj has over 14 years' experience in structural and systems engineering for major offshore and on-shore renewable energy projects. During this time, he has developed a passion for analysis and detailing of complete offshore support structures as well as local details and attachments through complex finite element analysis (FEA) methods.
His experience in structural design delivery spans across multiple project phases, from concept-level and front-end engineering design (FEED) through to detailed design. Navraj has participated in numerous EPCI projects, operations and maintenance support, as well as specialist engineering support. He has also spent extensive periods of time at fabrication yards and testing facilities, and is well-accustomed to the processes applied in the construction of offshore structures.
Navraj has acquired in-depth knowledge and experience in delivering complex analyses using FEA methods, including non-linear analysis of grouted connections, bolted connections and pile driving fatigue, as well as the analysis of large plated structures. As an FEA specialist, he is responsible for all aspects of detailed structural analysis within offshore substation (OSS) and offshore wind turbine generator (WTG) support structure projects.
Navraj has a proven track record of delivering significant cost savings through his hands-on, detail-oriented and thorough approach to solving engineering problems, process planning, sharing knowledge and streamlining working practices. He is equally comfortable working directly with clients as well as within cross-functional internal and external project teams.
Navraj is part of a team of fire wardens, first aiders and mental health responders within SLPE.
