Nick Terry

Nick is an engineering manager and principal structural/mechanical engineer with more than 10 years’ experience in the design and analysis of monopiles and jackets for offshore wind farms.  Building on a strong technical background in stress analysis and fatigue assessment, Nick has built up a wealth of engineering management and interface management experience across multiple detailed design projects for wind turbine and offshore substation foundations.

Through his involvement in a wide range of projects, Nick has worked closely with numerous developers, fabricators, and installers, and has a thorough understanding of the elements involved in wind farm development. Nick’s experience covers projects in UK, Dutch, German, and French waters, and includes some of the industry’s most cutting-edge structures. Nick excels in bringing together multidisciplinary teams, working collaboratively with clients and partners, and finding pragmatic solutions to engineering challenges.

Nick joined SLPE in 2021 as the Head of SLPE’s Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Substructures design team, reflecting both SLPE’s increasing focus on WTG foundations as well as Nick’s technical and leadership experience.
