Aaron, a Graduate Software Engineer, joined SLPE driven by a desire to work on meaningful, impactful projects. “From day one, I experienced a supportive and collaborative culture, which made a big difference as I was starting my career,” he says.

For Aaron, the promise of working within the dynamic offshore wind industry was especially appealing. “The industry is still evolving, and the potential for technological innovation in this space is exciting with so much room to make an impact,” he explains. He continues, “The opportunity to work on software that directly contributes to a greener future was a major draw. What stood out most was how our work improves efficiency and drives real-world progress.” With clear pathways for growth and the ability to explore areas like cloud computing, software optimization, and modern web frameworks, Aaron has found the perfect environment to build on his Computer Science degree.

A Passion for Practical Solutions

For Ernestas, now an IT Technician at SLPE, the decision to join was guided by a mix of technical curiosity and a passion for problem-solving. “I’ve always enjoyed helping people resolve issues,” he shares. “There’s real satisfaction in applying what I learned in university to real-world challenges.”

Coming from a background in Cybersecurity, Ernestas was especially excited to get hands-on with technologies he had only studied in theory. “SLPE has an impressive server room, which I’ve always wanted to work with. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to learn and dive deeper into areas like virtualization, network architecture, and NUMA tuning, all while still applying concepts from my degree.”
