New Engineer I Joins SLPE's Advanced Engineering Department
We are delighted to announce the arrival of new start, Stephen Williams, who is joining SLPE as Engineer I in our Advanced Engineering Department.
Stephen recently finished his studies as a PhD student at the University of Bath, researching the dynamic modelling of offshore wind turbine soil. His thesis, entitled ˜Dynamic Response and Resilient Design of Deep Water Offshore Wind Turbines’, explores modelling methods of OWTs and the interaction of their foundations with the soil.
Stephen has a number of publications to his name, exploring various aspects of offshore wind turbine dynamics. His work experience includes a paid research internship and teaching assistance, both at the University of Bath.
Stephen’s research interests and background in physics will fit in nicely with our forward-thinking and highly-dedicated Advanced Engineering Department , said Stra Berberic, Head of Advanced Engineering at SLPE. We are always looking to push the boundaries of our cutting-edge engineering know-how and technology, and I am confident Stephen will reinforce our efforts to do so.
