As part of our #OffshoreMentalHealth campaign, we are excited to introduce our “Walk & Talk” initiative. These 1-2-1 sessions, offered by our People Practitioner, put a spotlight on the importance of personal wellbeing within a safe space.

What is Walk & Talk and why we do it?

Our Walk & Talk sessions are 1-2-1 catchups that blend a relaxed environment with a personal focus. We believe that stepping away from your desk, grabbing a coffee, and engaging in an informal conversation allows employees to really focus on their wellbeing and have the opportunity to speak openly about challenges they may be facing.

Whether it’s seeking advice, being signposted to a helpful resource, or simply having the opportunity to talk, our 1-2-1s are about supporting our team as individuals and reminding them they are our most valuable assets.

How Walk & Talk Benefits Our Workplace

Walk & Talk has quickly become a favourite among our staff, fostering stronger connections between colleagues and management. It allows us to address potential wellbeing concerns before they escalate and ensures that each employee knows they are valued and heard. These sessions are another step in our commitment to championing mental health and ensuring that our workplace remains a supportive environment for all.

We encourage others in the offshore sector to adopt similar initiatives. Providing space for open discussions about personal and professional concerns can boost workplace satisfaction, mental health, and productivity. Walk & Talk is just one way SLPE fosters a culture of care and support, and we are proud to lead by example. Let's prioritise mental health and build healthier, more connected teams.
