This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Saleh Jalbi’s five-year milestone with SLPE. Saleh, a dedicated and skilled Senior Engineer, began his journey with us as a Graduate Engineer. Over the years, he has advanced through the roles of Foundations Engineer I and II, showcasing his exceptional talent and commitment.

Saleh has significantly contributed to SLPE’s collaborative working environment. His strong academic background has enabled him to appreciate and implement new research and innovative ideas within the team. Saleh has been instrumental in several high-profile projects, including Foundations foR Offshore wiNd TurbInES (FRONTIErS), Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), and Offshore Wind Foundation Diagnostic Monitoring System (OfDiMoS), all of which have received research grants. His role in liaising with third parties and managing these projects has been pivotal to their success.

Reflecting on his time at SLPE, Saleh shared: “I have enjoyed working on all the projects I am involved in. It has been particularly gratifying to be part of the Primary Steel Design Team and to play an exciting engineering role for SLPE’s Inch Cape Team, working on the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm project, one of Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm projects”.

Looking ahead, Saleh is eager to see our research projects come to fruition and transform into tools and services that can be utilised in actual projects. He is also excited about working on more Primary Steel projects for future wind farm foundation initiatives.
