SLPE has been awarded the offshore substation platform (OSP) substructure detailed design contract for Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm.
SLPE is now responsible for delivering the detailed design of the support structure for the OSP farm’s offshore substation platform. SLPE is contracted to the joint venture of Siemens Energy and Iemants (a subsidiary of Smulders) who will be supplying the OSP to Inch Cape.
We are delighted to have been awarded this contract, which follows the award of the detailed design for Inch Cape’s wind turbine generator (WTG) substructures that were awarded to SLPE in 2021 and which is progressing well this year , said Sam Lawes, Head of OSS Substructures at SLPE. With the experience we have gained supporting Inch Cape thus far, we believe we are in an excellent position to deliver the OSP substructure design. We are thrilled to now be working across the entire project .
We have enjoyed supporting Smulders through the tender process and are now looking forward to delivering the OSP substructure design , said Luke Jacques, Associate Director of SLPE. This will be the thirteenth substation substructure design we deliver in collaboration with Smulders, a testament to the success of our long-term partnership and the quality of our designs .
