1 week ago | Renewables

We are pleased to let you know we have recently appointed two new Structural Engineers. These appointments come as we seek to further expand our service offering in the UK and overseas, following a significant time of growth at SLPE.

“The appointment of our recent Structural Engineers signals our ambition for further growth since establishing our Central London office in 2021” said Joe Hilton, Director of SLPE. “We have secured a number of significant contract wins in the last year during a time of growth at SLPE and are now looking to expand our service offering further, both in the UK and internationally”.

Our Structural Engineer positions have been filled by Ben Gilmour and Peter Laing, both of whom have come from engineering backgrounds.

“We have increased our headcount year on year since 2020 and are on track to bolster our team further with new hires over the next few years”, Joe continued. “It’s an exciting time at SLPE and we have been delighted with the enthusiasm and the diverse range of skills we have gained during our recent expansion. Our two new hires, Ben and Peter, are settling in well and are already making a noticeable impact on our outputs, decision making, and team culture”.

Ben has joined SLPE following two years at Achelous Energy working as a Mechanical Engineer. He has experience in detailed design, finite element analysis, and dynamic computer analysis of offshore marine systems.

Peter has joined SLPE following two and a half years at Kent (formerly Atkins) working as an Assistant Engineer. He has experience across a range of high-profile offshore engineering projects and life extension studies and has also gained experience in project management.

We look forward to the unique skills and passion for offshore engineering both Ben and Peter will bring to SLPE in the years ahead. Welcome aboard! Click herefor our Management Team.
